Undertaking the responsibility to patients, of holistic care responsibility for those medically ill and admitted for surgical procedure provide total care along with ward management conducting research related fields, the department is academically well oriented too. Conducted seminars and journal clubs held as per curriculum are held for bachelor and master's students. Clinical postings and bedside learning at the ward also play a major role in the teaching learning activities. The department also runs regular continuous nursing education (CNE) and workshops around every year.
