MENTAL HEALTH NURSING
- Accountable nursing professionals for Mental Health provide competency-based nursing care in the hospital and/or community settings.
- Counseling families and patients according to needs and condition of patients
- Provide information regarding the patient's condition and treatment modalities role of the family
- Apply nursing theory, critical thinking and clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, and safe clinical care in all settings.
- Participate research activities related to the setting as per curriculum
- Mental health addresses nursing skills and practice on several levels. It is the nurse’s responsibility to know what particular regulations apply to their area of practice.
- Participate in different activities for the promotion and prevention of mental illness in society and interventions can be designed for individuals, specific groups or whole populations.
- Reduce risks, build resilience and establish supportive environments for mentally ill patients.
