MENTAL HEALTH NURSING

  1. Accountable nursing professionals for Mental Health provide competency-based nursing care in the hospital and/or community settings.
  2. Counseling families and patients according to needs and condition of patients 
  3. Provide information regarding the patient's condition and treatment modalities role of the family  
  4. Apply nursing theory, critical thinking and clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, and safe clinical care in all settings. 
  5. Participate research activities related to the setting as per curriculum
  6. Mental health addresses nursing skills and practice on several levels. It is the nurse’s responsibility to know what particular regulations apply to their area of practice. 
  7. Participate in different activities for the promotion and prevention of mental illness in society and interventions can be designed for individuals, specific groups or whole populations.
  8. Reduce risks, build resilience and establish supportive environments for mentally ill patients.
